Council Tightens Kids’ Curfews

Sounds like a great idea but what is the other side to the story. Local Government now taking over decisions of parents and their children. Will they vote on how much we should feed them?

It seems like the council members are trying to target children that are up to no good during late hours of the night. That seems like a job for the already operating patrols in force in rougher areas. In some areas I have seen Gang Task Forces, Probation, Police Officers and Unmarked Vehicles in rough areas at around 10 at night. What does that mean? Apparently, that doesn’t mean anything. I think Baghdad Iraq has a curfew of 10 PM as well. So San Antonio is the new Baghdad Iraq. I think there is more young people doing good than bad and the ones that are up to no good are tied to adults up to no good. I can see how this curfew must seem like the right thing to do for the community but which communities? Why don’t they target the communities in question? Kids that do well and are responsible are going to be targeted and that is unfair to the parent that raised them well. What is the purpose of the police force? Is City Council trying to tell us that the SAPD cannot handle their schedule? These are children and if anyone is going to combat the young offenders it would be easier to nab them when their guard is down. It will be hard to nab these juvenile offenders when they are now hiding in the shadows. Lets face it, if they are going to commit an offense, do you really think a curfew is going to stop them? I believe the children needed a voice and the Council prevented them from having representation. They figure no one will come after them if they make a decision here. You won’t see them going after big fish because that would get them sued or they would fine someone that will stand up with representation.
