Many have already poised Castro as the Leader of the future. This is a very simple subject when truthfully he has not accomplished anything. As we saw in this past City Council Elections, anyone can be a Council Person. Now that he has been Mayor for the past few days Democrats are already building his ego when there is no proof in the pudding. That seems to be the age of the “New Politics.” Desperation for leaders seems to be a growing trend. We should touch base on this subject in two years when he has lead. Sarah Palin was once a Mayor and Julian Castro is following the same footstep in a bigger city.

Can Castro Go All The Way? If he has the money behind him and the media, the answer is yes. Locally, he is a popular Political Figure but going national is a whole different ball game. He does well in a predominant Hispanic population but nationally Hispanics are the minority again. If he is to go far in politics, being Democrat may not be the party to do it in. There is a dime a dozen Hispanics in the Democratic Party. In the Republican Party there is more opportunity because it will build up again and you want to be at the top when it does. Hispanics are a rare breed of Republicans. Hispanics seem to follow the pack and most poor, minority and uneducated Americans vote Democratic Party. If Castro is to go all the way he would have to join the Republican Party for money, breaking news and new face. That will not happen; he will stay in the Democratic Party because of his close ties.
